Over the years, their love grew stronger despite the challenges of long-distance, a global pandemic, and years spent apart. This past Valentine’s Day, after nearly four years of separation, their long-awaited reunion in Portland was met with an unforgettable surprise.
A Session with a Hidden Surprise
Macy had planned a beautiful engagement session, eager to capture professional photos to announce their engagement to family and friends while they prepared for their wedding. However, what she didn’t know was that Josh had something even more special in store for her.
As they strolled through the International Rose Test Garden, revisiting the very place where they shared their first date and first kiss, Josh took a deep breath, pulled out his guitar, and began to serenade Macy with a song he had written just for her. Under the same tree where their love story had truly begun, Josh got down on one knee, this time with a ring in hand, making sure he gave Macy the romantic proposal she deserved.
The Magic of Portland’s Most Romantic Spots
After the surprise proposal, we continued their session, capturing the overwhelming joy and pure love radiating between them. Macy and Josh changed outfits for a more elevated, timeless look before heading to Pittock Mansion, an iconic historic estate that offers one of the most breathtaking views of the Portland skyline. As they danced on the balcony overlooking the city, the golden-hour light wrapped around them, making the moment feel even more surreal.
